1½ cups soft white wheat berries

¼ cup packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground allspice

¼ teaspoon salt

¾ cup honey

2 large eggs

⅓ cup whole milk

¼ cup canola or vegetable oil, plus additional for greasing the pan

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
