Barrel Man

One recurring sighting on the castle grounds occurs near a staircase. Visitors have seen a large man, broad shouldered and powerful, pushing a massive wooden barrel up the staircase. As soon as he makes it to the top of the stairs with great effort, it rolls back down.

Eyewitnesses have seen the barrel reach the bottom of the stairs, but then the man and the barrel both simply disappear from sight. No further trace of them can be found until they decide to make another appearance. Based on descriptions of his size, he would be rather hard to miss.
