4.9 Conclusion
As has been shown in the previous sections, the translation and interpreting assessment research conducted so far has dealt with seven main areas. These are: surveying assessment practices, validating and developing translation/interpreting tests, identifying the difficulty level of the source text, developing performance assessment rubrics, examining rating practices and testing conditions, developing translation/interpreting motivational scales, and investigating user evaluation/reception.
