The normal electromagnetic force produced by halo current on divertor is evaluated as

(4.16)

where B t is the average toroidal magnetic field, and is 4.3, 3.2, and 3.8 T for divertor inner plate, outer plate, and dome, respectively. I halo is the average value of halo current, and L p is the length of plate in poloidal direction along halo current. The total normal electromagnetic forces on divertor inner plate, outer plate, and dome are 630, 352, and 435 kN, respectively. Detailed structure analysis shows that the divertor structure can withstand the forces caused by halo current. The effective way of avoiding halo current is to control the VDE of plasma by using active and passive stabilizers.
