Chapter Ten

Max groaned inwardly. As hard as it had been to refuse Sean’s advances earlier in the evening, saying “no” to Claire was impossible. Especially with the gift she offered. “Are you sure?”

A smile played on her lips as she batted her eyelashes. “Yes, Sir.”

Holy fuck. Did she have any idea what that did to him?

“Girlfriend, you are playing with fire,” Sean warned, though he was smiling as he shook his head like he couldn’t wait to see how this all played out.

Fire indeed. Although it was Max who was most likely to get burned. Those two words, slipping between those two luscious lips, and from the sweetest girl he’d ever known, and any thoughts of walking away from her evaporated.

“Don’t stop her,” he said, stalking over to her. “I like it when she calls me ‘Sir.’” Visions of her tied to his bed overwrote the earlier plan.

“Sweet,” Sean said, pulling both Max and Claire across the living room.

The three of them stumbled up the stairs, sharing kisses and caresses that had Max panting. “Sean’s room,” he said, tugging his lovers down the hallway.

Once they were in the room that featured a California king with at least a dozen pillows on it, he started undressing. Midway through stepping out of his pants, Sean caught Max’s attention as he reached over his head to tug off his shirt one-handed.
