Chapter 15

The constant banging on the front door brought Zahyir and Qadir out of their bedrooms. They are both dead tired from only catching a few hours of sleep. Rubbing the crust out of their eyes they looked at each other when they made it to the living room.

“Who the hell is that knocking on the door like that?” Zahyir asked pissed that his sleep is being interrupted.

“I don’t know but after the night I had I don’t need anybody making anymore pop up visits.” Qadir said equally pissed off.

Zahyir shook his head at that. When he got home last night Qadir told him all about what happened with Felicia. He knew from the start that she was nothing but trouble. The events of last night prove that he was right about her all along. Since He was the first in the living room he went to open the door. As soon as he opened it his face showed complete confusion.

“Is there a Qadir Williams here?” A police officer asked.

“Uh hold up…”

Before Zahyir could utter another word Qadir stepped next to him at the door. “I’m Qadir Williams, what is the problem officer?”

“Would you step outside with your hands up in the air…?”

“What is going on?” Zahyir asked as Qadir did what the officer said. He watched as they searched him then pulled a pair of cuffs out.

“Qadir you are under arrest for the rape of Felicia Howard. You have the right to remain silent any and everything you say can and will be used against you…”

Everything around Qadir started to become a blur. It is as if he drowned everything out as the officers read him his rights. His mind is in overdrive trying to figure out if what is going on is actually happening to him at the moment. When he heard Zahyir call his name he came out of the trance that he somehow slipped into.

“Qadir!” he heard his cousin call out again.

“Call my brother and tell him to get down here quick. I didn’t rape nobody.” He told Zahyir.

“Don’t say nothing until Nassir and your lawyer get there.” he watched as they put his cousin in the backseat of the squad car. When they pulled off he rushed back into the house and grabbed his phone.

He called Nassir and told him what happened. He listened as Nassir cursed and shouted on the phone about his brother being arrested. He could also hear Zariya in the background freaking out. After he got off the phone with his cousin he ran to his room to get dress. He knew his cousin wouldn’t rape anybody especially Felicia. She has been seen throwing herself at his cousin on multiple occasions.

Nassir bust through the police station’s doors with Zariya, Kalil, Chanae, Charles, and LeRae following behind him. The looks on all of their faces showed that they came to get some answers. Nassir wasn’t leaving without his brother so somebody had some explaining to do.

Right when he walked up to the front desk his lawyer Burton Bryce Schwartz came walking from the back with Qadir.
