2 Preheat oil to 350ºF.

3 Drain dove breasts; discard buttermilk. Cut each bacon strip in half. Wrap dove breast with a piece of bacon. Secure with a wooden toothpick.

4 Fry a few breasts at a time for 1½ to 2 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Remove from hot oil and drain on paper towels.

Makes 20 breasts.
