We talked about topic selection at length earlier, but it’s worth re-iterating that the actual category and sub-category deserves careful attention if there is more than one combination that fits your course. I chose the Business category and “Data & Analytics” sub-category, because I determined that particular sub-category was less competitive.

You can also select individual topics that are relevant to your course, as well as the most relevant topic. You will of course want to choose the topics with the highest search volume that you discovered while using the Marketplace Insights tool to refine your choice of keywords, but while still being honest. Don’t tag yourself with topics that aren’t actually the primary focus of your course. If more than one topic applies to your course, pick the one that’s searched for more often.
