Directions:

Place sugar and water in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir the mixture constantly until it just starts to boil. Stop stirring and increase the heat to high. When the mixture turns into a nice amber color (5-10 minutes), remove from heat and slowly add in the cream, whisking constantly. Add in the butter and whisk again. Add in the vanilla and salt and whisk until combined.

Allow to cool to room temperature.

Place vanilla ice cream, milk, vanilla extract and caramel sauce in a blender and blend until smooth.

Divide between glasses and top with whipped cream and a pinch of sea salt.
