CREAMY HORSERADISH DIPPING SAUCE
This pungent sauce can be used during appetizer hour for many different bites.
1 CUP SOUR CREAM
JUICE OF ½ LEMON
¼ CUP GRATED HORSERADISH
1 CLOVE GARLIC, PEELED AND MINCED
1 TABLESPOON DIJON MUSTARD
1 TEASPOON RED WINE VINEGAR
2 TEASPOONS CHOPPED CHIVES
SALT AND FRESHLY GROUND BLACK PEPPER
Place the sour cream, lemon juice, horseradish, garlic, mustard, vinegar, and chives into a medium mixing bowl. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld. Sauce can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 2 to 3 weeks.
Makes 1 cup sauce.
