Alfredo Sauce

This alfredo sauce tastes lovely when mixed in with some linguine noodles and freshly grated parmesan. Try it with some crusty Italian bread and garlic butter.

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Serving Size: 4

List of Ingredients:

½ ounce grapeseed oil

½ ounce garlic cloves, minced

½ ounce all-purpose flour

8 ounces chicken broth

8 ounces fat-free milk

5 ½ ounces Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

½ tsp. salt

¼ tsp. black pepper, ground

Methods:

1. Sauté garlic in oil in a large saucepan on medium heat for 1 minute until golden.

2. Stir in flour and cook for another 1 minute until a thick paste forms.

3. Gradually whisk in broth to the mixture until smooth and combined. Do the same with the milk.

4. Bring mixture to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes until the desired thickness is reaches.

5. Add cheese, salt and pepper and stir until cheese melts before serving.
