E-mail Telepathy

The Internet facilitates connections among people and often acts as a vehicle for psychic phenomena and synchronicity. In fact, if you use your computer a lot, you’ve probably experienced Facebook or e-mail telepathy as Adele Aldridge did.

Adele, an artist and author who writes about the I Ching, a Chinese divination system, was writing a letter to an author when she received an e-mail related to her art business. The correspondent had ordered an I Ching font Adele had created, and wondered why she hadn’t received it yet.

Adele stared in disbelief at her monitor. The e-mail was from Katya Walter, the author of The Tao of Chaos, a book about the I Ching and the genetic code. Not only was that book on the corner of her desk, but Katya was the author to whom Adele was writing, to ask if she would write a foreword to her proposed book, I Ching Meditations. “I’d placed the book on the corner of my desk to remind me to write to Katya. I kept putting that task off, not only because I was immersed in writing the proposal, but because I felt shy about approaching such a knowledgeable author.”

Adele immediately wrote to Katya and sent her the font. Katya was so pleased to hear from her directly that she called Adele and they’ve been friends ever since.

This kind of telepathic synchronicity is so simple and straightforward it’s as if the universe was saluting Adele for being in the flow. So the next time you experience something like this, pause for a moment and appreciate just how many details had to come together for the synchro to occur.
