Resign for Good Reason
Sometimes, a company doesn’t outright fire someone, but they make decisions that essentially “push” an employee out. There are well-documented legal reasons as to why a person would be entitled to resign for “good reason” (also called “for cause”) that are often found in employment contracts. The employee wouldn’t have to leave, but they can if their job is clearly no longer what they signed up for. If they stay, however, they can’t use these as good reasons later on.
