Personal Concerns

An item that contains a person’s biological matter or has come in physical contact with them is known as a personal concern. These items adhere to the law of contagion introduced earlier. The term personal concern is also applied to items that have captured something of a person, such as an image in a photograph, their written name, or their voice captured in a knot. A personal concern need not possess a person’s DNA, although many workers prefer that.

The personal concern used in a spell often works best when it corresponds with the type of work being done on the person. For example, if you wished to make a man impotent, you would want personal concerns associated with his penis, such as pubic hair, underwear, or a condom he has owned (all the better if he has worn it, though one from his wallet or dresser drawer will do). However, if you were trying to do a spell to help him concentrate for his college midterms, then pubic hair would be less appropriate, and would most likely cause him to focus on sex and distract him from his tests. Some personal concerns are better suited to certain types of work than others. With this in mind I have compiled the following list of personal concerns according to which area of the body they are associated with and, by extension, what type of work they are best suited for.

Feet

Personal concerns related to the feet are often used for controlling jobs, and include foot-track dirt, shoes and laces, insoles, socks and stockings, toe rings, anklets, foot bath water, skin, toenails, and toe hair.

Sex (Male)

Personal concerns associated with the male sex are often used for arousing or limiting sexual activity, and include semen, smegma, pubic hair, urine, a worn condom, a cock ring, piercings, underwear, a photo of the man’s penis, and the measurement of his penis.

Sex (Female)

Personal concerns related to the female sex are also used for arousing or limiting sexual activity, and include vaginal secretions, menstrual blood, tampons or pads, urine, a diaphragm, used sexual devices, jewelry, underwear, a photo of the woman’s vagina, and the measurement of her vagina.

Buttocks

Personal concerns associated with the buttocks are often used for cursing (except when the butt is of erotic interest), and include excrement, hair, used sexual devices, and underwear.

Breast

For men, a bit of chest hair is nearest to the heart and is related to love. For women, a bra relates to the heart, to nurturing, and to sexuality for some.

Clothing

Again, we see what area of the body these correspond to and can be used to act upon. For example, underwear relates to sex, as it is hidden and is closest to the body.

In addition, there are a number of useful personal effects, such as a person’s handwriting, glasses, rings, wallets, etc.

Obviously some personal items are easier to collect than others. There are many sneaky ways to procure certain items, and to learn these I encourage readers to make contact with other workers within magical communities where such discussions often take place.
