In order to implement its energy policies and reach related goals, Turkey is committed to enhancing cooperation with a wide range of foreign players, both public and private, provided with a high level expertise in specific sectors.

In this regard, it is particularly important the development of common activities and projects with two protagonists of the world scene: the European Union and the United States.

On occasion of a meeting held on 14th of June 2012 in Stuttgart [10], Turkey and the EU agreed to enhance their energy cooperation and focus on five topics of mutual interest:1.long-term perspectives on energy scenarios and energy mix;
