Captain D. C. Cunnell, the pilot of the FE.2d in which observer Second Lieutenant A. E. Woodbridge is believed to have fired the bullet that brought down the Red Baron. Donald Cullen survived the encounter, only to be killed by an exploding AA shell six days later.
