Chapter 9

Understanding Spiritual Gifts

I want to speak briefly on the promises of God that the ravening wolves keep secret from you. What are those gifts you can receive?

Why is this possible to receive?

Why didn´t they cease as you were told?

First, you need the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is the one who gives you His gifts or helps you to receive them. The source or life-giver is Jesus Christ, because without Him, you would not be able to receive the Holy Spirit. Remember that He´s the baptizer, and He baptizes you in the Holy Ghost. Why can He do that? Because He´s the one who paid the penalty for sin, He paid the price for you to be able to live an abundant life (John 10:10). Open your Bible to Isaiah 53:3-5:

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

The Lord Jesus Christ went through all this for you, not to be sick, afflicted and oppressed. Anyone who tells you that you can´t be healed is telling a lie from the pit of hell!! With His stripes we are healed, not we will be healed, maybe one day, or in your paradise. No! This is what the Lord Jesus was saying, in John 19:30 it is finished! You must simply believe it, and tell the devil he cannot rob you any longer of what is yours, what is already done. Why should you pay for something that has already been paid for?

This is not only in case of receiving healing but financial blessing as well. He became poor that we might be rich says Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 8:9.

I went through hell because I was told there are no more healings or miracles happening. I suffered over sixteen years until I received my healing through a simple prayer that was offered, not only to me but to many in a crusade I attended. I was even not aware I was healed because I had never attended such a meeting. I was not used to it. They spoke in tongues, and I thought it was crazy and devilish, but God in His mercy and love knew my situation and that I did not know what I was saying. I was told a lie. I was deceived. That´s why the Lord warns us in Matthew 24:4, “take heed that no man deceives you.” However, the Lord sent His word to heal and deliver us from destruction(Ps. 107:20).

If you need healing and deliverance, look for an Apostolic Church that carries the anointing to pray for you to receive your healing.
