Making Contact

There’s a simple way to get signs from the dead. Take some object left by the person who has passed, such as keys, an article of clothing, a photo, and put it under your pillow at night. Ask that person to send you a sign, and repeat the request every night for a week or so or more. The request can be couched like:

“Hey, Dad, I’d love to hear from you. Please give me a sign that you’re around.”

“I miss you, Mom. Can you come for a quick visit?”

You can say whatever you want. You don’t have to spell it out. Perhaps you have a favorite term that you used before the person passed:

“Hey, cat, where you be?”

“Man, I’m missing you like you wouldn’t believe.”

“I need your arms, my honey, and I need them soon. Please come back.”
