In relation to her counseling and speaking experience, she has worked as a teen mentor for a local non-profit organization where she also facilitated workshops for teen girls touching on topics such as self-esteem, goal setting and relationship building. Additionally, she managed an Abuser Intervention Program where she facilitated weekly group therapy sessions for those who have perpetrated intimate partner violence and facilitated Anger Management classes for both male and female groups. Ms. Budd continued her outreach efforts by facilitating Anger Management workshops at a local women’s prison. Ms. Budd continues her empowerment efforts through Life Coaching and Youth Mentoring.

Ms. Budd knows that she is called to continue reaching out to the masses by empowering people to heal from brokenness, have healthy relationships and educate on abuse within intimate partner relationships. Ms. Budd was inspired to write this fictional novel as a result of her own personal experience with domestic violence.
