My Prayer to God

Lord, I know that even when I can’t imagine how You could ever bring Your promises to fruition in my life, You have a plan that is beyond my comprehension. I see that often what I think is an inconvenience or hardship is actually part of the fulfillment of that plan. Help me to receive these kinds of things as a blessing and not think of them as a disaster. Help me move into them without complaint, just as Joseph and Mary did. Help me to not fret or worry, but rather to trust that because I am walking with You, these troubles or inconveniences will be for my greatest blessing. Even though You may lead me to a place I never desired to be, I will trust it is the place You have destined for me where I can best fulfill Your purposes. When I am asked to do things I don’t want to do, help me to respond the way You would have me to. May my first reaction to these inconvenient changes of my plans be one of rejoicing and willing obedience.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
