THINK ABOUT—PRAY ABOUT

We have considered the godly man's response to God. Review what we have covered and highlight an area you need to focus on in your relationship to God. Pray about it and commit to strengthening that part of your relationship.

God will reveal through our relationship with him his plans and purposes for us. God didn't call us to be successful. God called us to be obedient. The success is his doing, not ours. Our role is to be his servants and let him accomplish what he will through us.

Take a moment to evaluate your community, your neighborhood, or your marketplace. Is the darkness getting darker because churches and Christians are busy, or is the light getting brighter because churches and Christians are obedient?

The essence of salvation is the release of our control to God's control. Does God have absolute, immediate access to your life today? Or would something dramatic have to happen to cause you to turn your attention to God? Pray and release control of your life to God.

How do you respond to God? Just like the CEOs I met with, you are in a strategic position to impact lives around you. Pray to God and allow him to be your resource in influencing those around you.
