WHAT ABOUT YOU?

In which areas do you lack confidence? Could it be that you have not found confidence in your calling? Before you turn to the next chapter, ask God to meet with you and allow you to participate in an Upstairs conversation. Maybe you need to look back over your strengths and weaknesses and develop a simple plan to lean into your strengths and grow in your weaknesses.

Take a minute and write down five areas in which you lack confidence. Financial management? Leading other leaders? Technology upgrades? Fund-raising? New business development? Fear of the unknown?

If you need additional professional training in an area, figure out what that looks like. Start practicing confidence in a few areas you’re uncertain about. Take all these roles to the Lord and ask for His help to grow in these capacities.

Confidence is a game changer. And while confidence is weakened by arrogance, it is possible to act upon the confidence of your calling without assuming it has anything to do with personal merit or that you somehow earned it. A calling comes from God, according to His will, not ours.

Confidence has to exist without arrogance. But how do you do that? I’m so glad you asked.
