As a matter of fact, obedience is an act of worship. Presenting ourselves before God in a way that is holy and pleasing to Him is our reasonable act of worship (Rom. 12:1). We confirm our love for God by obeying Him. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). Disobedience separates you from God. Obedience draws you near.

Like a Table Set Before You

The Lord gave me a picture of a table—His table—and we, the saints of God, are seated at it. The table is overflowing with fruit of all kinds, and we are invited to eat until we are full. He is inviting us to partake of the fruit of His labor. God doesn’t want us to keep working in the field, planting seed, and watering it without ever seeing the harvest.

I believe God is inviting you into the next season. You are seeking and abiding in Him even in the winter season, but harvesttime is coming. Let the harvest of the Lord come.

The Bible talks about seedtime and harvest. We have sown through tears and prayers and fasting; it is now time to harvest the fruit of that seed. Psalm 126:5–6 says, “They who sow in tears shall reap with joyful singing. He who goes back and forth weeping, carrying his bag of seed [for planting], will indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him” (AMP).

Woman of God, it is your harvest season. The Lord has prepared a table before you in the presence of your enemies. He is inviting you into your season of abundance, manifestation, and overflow. May you receive more than what you’ve asked for. May God exceed your expectations.

Once you get what you’ve asked for, it’s not over. God wants you to be free to give out what you have been given. That you have been blessed to be a blessing is an important part of reproducing fruit that remains. You were discipled by God, and now you become one who disciples others. What you have you give. What you have belongs to God; it is not yours.

Isaiah 54 is God’s declaration to the barren ones who will give birth according to His plan. Some Hannahs will have spiritual sons and daughters who will be more in number than their natural children. Just as Hannah had to adjust her expectations regarding her promised son, you may have to make a new vow according to God’s will for your life. I encourage you to declare this prophetic word over yourself in faith even as you wait. God will surely deliver on all His promises.

“Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman,” says the LORD. “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
