oil

1 teaspoon ground cumin

Fine sea salt or kosher salt and

freshly ground pepper, to taste

1 (4-pound) seedless watermelon

(rind trimmed and discarded),

cut into ½-inch cubes (about

6 cups)

1 cup (4 ounces) crumbled ricot-

ta salata

2 ripe Hass avocados, seeded,

peeled, cut into ¼-inch pieces

¼ cup pumpkin seeds (pepitas)

¼ cup coarsely chopped fresh

cilantro

Coarsely ground black pepper,

to taste
