“So, your name is Alli huh, pretty name,” Kira said as she accepted the invitation.

“Thank you, I rather like it myself.” Alli’s voice held a touch of amusement. “Now on Charles’s hip, you will find a flask, pull the top off, and pour the contents down his throat. After you do that, pull the blades from his legs and then step away from him.”

“Uh, alright?” Kira agreed somewhat confused and stepped away from Alli. Walking past the massive dog, she saw just how big she truly was, even crouched like she had been her head had come up to her breast. If she had been able to stand, Alli would probably have been almost as tall or taller than herself. She was huge!

Hurrying to Charles side she found the flask Alli had told her about and pulled off the top, then tilting his head back she dumped the contents into his mouth. As soon as the liquid hit his mouth, his back arched and all his muscles seemed to tighten. Kira dropped the flask and pulled the various knives from his legs before stepping away.

Her eyes were wide as she watched his back bend at an almost impossible angle. Beside her, Alli slumped to the ground her breath coming in fast short gasps.

A scream erupted from Charles pulling her eyes away from the injured dog. The muscles beneath his skin were shifting and the injuries all over his body were closing and then vanishing. The charred fingers on his right hand became pink as the burnt skin sloughed off and fell to the ground. The scream petered out as his back slowly relaxed until he was flat on the ground and a soft whimper fell from his lips. The muscles all throughout his body continued shifting for a few more seconds before setting down. He looked much stronger than before and with the injuries gone he no longer resembled a scrawny corpse.

“Alli, where is Alli?” He asked in a dry raspy voice as his eyes flickered open.

Kira stepped closer until she was standing right next to him, her eyes wide in amazement.
