The trouble with Willnot now was not being miserable, just the opposite. He became so popular at school with his computer and football skills plus his disco singing it had gone to his head. He began to think he was something special.

He was suddenly brought down to earth with a jolt. His handsome face had its first attack of teenage spots. A mixture of boils, zits and pimples were making his life a misery. Most of the family felt sorry for him and did not say anything about them to his face, but Gabby could not hide her delight.

“Serves you right, you were getting big headed and too big for your trainers.”

To the dismay of Dunsay and her parents, she would make fun of him regularly.

“Willnot, pick a nice spot to watch the television. You’re spot on. I spotted you at the shops. Let’s have a game of footie, you can take the spot kicks. Is it true that you are in a spot of bother? Have you come across a new play spot lately?”

There was no stopping Gabby once she got started.
