POP! POP!

“Wonderful, wonderful!” Shaggy said as he snapped away. “Like, how about some props to make things more interesting?”

Scooby-Doo dashed in with two of the ship’s lifesaver rings. Before the monsters knew what hit them, the dog shoved the rings over their bodies. Their arms were pinned to their sides.

POP! POP!

Shaggy took two more shots before he and Scooby ditched the equipment and uniforms. They ran up the stairs to join the others while the monsters were still trapped.

In the dance club, Daphne and Fred continued to dance around the floor with their confused monsters.

“Ready to switch partners?” Daphne asked.

“You bet!” Fred replied.

Daphne and Fred spun their monsters toward each other. The creatures caught each other and began dancing together.

“Big finish!” Velma announced. She pushed a button and the club’s smoke machines let loose.

WHOOOOOOSH!

Two clouds of smoke blasted the dance floor. Daphne, Fred, and Velma took that opportunity to make their escape. As they ran out of the smoke-filled room, Batman and Robin were waiting for them.

“What happened to your monsters?” Fred asked.

Robin shook his head. “I don’t know,” he replied. “They ran around a corner and disappeared.”

Shaggy and Scooby-Doo ran up the stairs. “Like, we have two monsters trapped at the bottom of the stairs.”

Batman ran up to the railing and peered down. The creatures were no longer there.

Daphne jutted a thumb over her shoulder. “There are two dizzy monsters in there for sure,” she said. “And there’s no other way out.”

Batman and Robin were ready for battle as they edged up to the dance club entrance. Then, as the smoke cleared, they saw that the place was empty.

“Jinkies,” Velma said. “Where did they go?”

Scooby-Doo walked over to one of the walls. He sniffed at something sparkling on the ground. “Rook!” he shouted. “A rue!”

Everyone joined Scooby by the wall. Part of a sparkling piece of jewelry poked out of a crack in the wall.

“That is a clue,” Fred said. “A diamond necklace.”

“And it’s holding open a secret door,” Daphne added.

Batman opened the door to reveal a narrow passageway on the other side. “This must lead to the hallways the crew uses to easily move about the ship.”

“So that’s how these creeps keep doing their vanishing act,” Robin said.

“Double clue,” Velma said. “This mystery is really starting to come together!”
