LaTanza was in the office of Michael Vanzant, an investor who also laundered money. One of his top clients was LaTanza Fuentes. He’s cleaned more dirty money for her than he’d done for all of his clients combined. Now that LaTanza was about to make a move to leave Carlos, she was going to need the money in case things didn’t work out the way she had planned. She knew Carlos had something up his sleeve, and she just hoped she could beat him to the punch.
Liza was sitting in the driver’s seat of the black BMW that was parked in the downtown parking garage. She tapped a line of cocaine onto the back of her hand and sniffed. She leaned her head back and felt her sinuses draining into her throat as the drug began to take effect. As she sat and waited for LaTanza to finish her meeting, all types of thoughts ran through her mind. Yesterday ,she had walked into her commander’s office and resigned. She had become addicted to cocaine, money, the fast life, and LaTanza. She remembered the first night she and LaTanza made love. It was a feeling she’d never felt before. She liked it, and the powder cocaine LaTanza introduced her to.
One night when they had fallen asleep on the couch while looking at a movie, they awoke with LaTanza on top of Liza. LaTanza placed a soft kiss on Liza’s lips, and the new experience continued into a night of lustful bliss. LaTanza had turned her out, and all the time they spent together dining, shopping, talking, and conducting business had brought the two together. Liza felt as if they were inseparable.
Liza’s cell phone rang. She answered, and LaTanza told her that she was ready. Liza drove out of the garage, and within a couple of minutes, she was pulling the luxury car in front of the downtown skyscraper. The brisk wind blew as LaTanza walked to the car and her fur cropped leopard coat rippled from the wind that blew off Lake Michigan.
Once LaTanza was in the back seat of the 760Li, Liza used the power of the V12 to get into and blend in the rush hour traffic. “How did it go,” Liza asked as she glanced at LaTanza in the rearview mirror.
LaTanza took off her heels. “Damn, these Jimmie Choo’s and my feet are not agreeing with each other.”
Liza didn’t ask again. She knew LaTanza, and that was her way of saying that she didn’t want to tell her.
LaTanza flipped her hair back, scratched her head, then there was a pause. The car was quiet for a moment as she stared at Liza. Not that she was pissed or anything, she was just wondering about her friend. “You know, Liza, I like you. Not in a relationship type of a way. I know we’ve made each other feel good every now and then, but I do love sex with men, mostly, so I wouldn’t want you to get it twisted.
