Christian

“Is Farren pregnant?” Courtney whispered in my ear. “Huh?” I was drunk but I wasn’t that damn drunk.

“Christian look at her,” she exclaimed. I haven’t really seen her this week or last week since she’s been busy with school and working. I looked at her, and walked in her direction but was cut short. “Christian, do a toast; we about to dock in New York and there are limos waiting to escort people to the club then strip club.” I looked surprised. The coordinator said, “I thought you knew; don’t tell Farren I told you.” She handed me the microphone and signaled the band to cut it short.

“Yo, mic check one, two, one, two…. I just want to thank all y’all for coming out to celebrate with me tonight; my niggas, my beautiful sisters, my partners, my business associates, colleagues, cousins, clients, lil’ kids from the block, but most importantly, first and foremost - my baby, my best friend. I think she about to be baby mama, I ain’t figured that out yet.” Farren turned beet red. “I love you mama, and everything about you; turn the fuck up, everything on me tonight.”

Everybody cheered and we took shots. Farren was busy making sure the party was running smoothly. We took the rentals to the 40/40 club where bottles were ready to be popped, and the cake to be cut. We turned up all night! I texted Farren once I was ready to leave.

“Where you bae?”

“At the hotel.”

“We got a room?”

“Everybody does, boo.”

“Where ‘bout? I’m ready to come kiss you.”

“Enjoy your night; we have forever to do that.”

“I wanna be with you. Room number?”

“Three-forty-two; get the key from check-in.”

“Love you, baby.”

“Love you, too. Happy Birthday.”

I dapped my niggas, told them I was out, and kissed my sisters. “Farren got everybody rooms, y’all too drunk to be driving!”

“Nigga we know, she planned this months ago.”

“Be safe sis,” I told Courtney. Greg said, “I got her bruh,” as he smiled. I smiled back and dapped him up. “My nigga."

Baby girl was already knocked out when I got in. I barely made it to the shower from being drunk. This was the best birthday I’d ever had.

“Bae,” I shook her.

“Christian, I love you. I’m so tired baby,” she whined.

“Okay baby, I just wanna hold you,” I slurred.

Drunk sleep was the best sleep, especially when you was able to go to bed and wake up to the woman of your dreams.
