GALATIANS 2:16-21 KJV

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of

Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ,that we might be justified by

the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law

shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we our-

selves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am cru-

cified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the

life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved

me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if right-

eousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

@ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2

I realize that I am not justified by the Law, but by faith in Jesus; for, even

though doing the good deeds outlined in the Law is right, it is not what justifies

me in the sight of God. The only thing that can sa ve me from death and destruc-

tion is a sin substitute—and that is what Jesus became for me.Therefore, I will

rest in the finished work of my Savior.

Even though I may fail and sin against the Law as a child of God, it doesn’t

mean that Christ is a minister of sin or has become an excuse for it. The fact of

the matter is He stripped sin of its power. Because of this, even if I sin I stand

uncondemned. Therefore, I now have the ability to cont rol it, for it no longer has

any power over my life. God Himself now partners up with me so that I can live a

life of true holiness.

In Jesus, the Law has been fulfilled and set aside.The Law is fulfilled in me,

only so far as I remain in Him.

The regulations of the Law are no longer a guide to me. I am led by the Holy

Spirit now.

Sin, which was awakened by the Law, is no longer a factor in my justification

or my righteousness. In Jesus,the Law has been dest royed in terms of my justifica-

tion. I am no longer considered a sinner in the e yes of God. Therefore, why would

I want to turn to the Law for justification and thus become a sinner again?

I, through the Law, died to the L aw, so that I may live for God. I am cruci-

fied with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.
