Becoming

Aware of Our

Soul’s Purpose

We’ve all heard the idiom, “Don’t cry over spilled milk.” Generally, I live by this creed. However I heard a story that made me rethink this position. The moral of the story suggested we should pay closer attention to the milk lest we miss the opportunity to prevent an unnecessary disaster.

My intern Lauryn worked as a barista with a man named Simon. One day while Lauryn was ringing in an order on the register, she heard a crash behind her and an under-the-breath expletive coming from Simon. She turned to find that he had spilled an entire pitcher of milk. Yet something about Simon’s disposition suggested that he wasn’t just upset about the milk, rather he was in awe of what he’d just experienced. Simon looked at Lauryn and said, “That was crazy, I knew exactly what was going to happen.” He explained that as he was reaching for the milk pitcher, he was having a déjà-vu moment in which he knew the accident was going to occur. Simon mused to Lauryn that it was like watching a train wreck and being powerless to prevent it. “But that’s not even the crazy part.” Simon continued. “Earlier in the day, I had a flash that I was going to spill the milk, and I did!” It seems Simon had a premonition prior to the déjà vu.

Once Simon recovered from his initial awe, he cleaned up his mess and never thought of the incident again, brushing it off as an odd coincidence. Unfortunately, Simon missed the point. What he was unaware of was that he had just experienced two conscious moments in which he could have changed the intended design and outcome of his reality. Because Simon didn’t recognize he was in his fifth-dimensional power, he was unable to alter the circumstances already in motion. The spilled milk could have been a wake-up call for Simon. It was the conscious event that was asking him to pay attention to his free-will ability to work in harmony with his environment.

I once had a similar experience in which I had a flash of myself getting into a car accident. I saw a large red vehicle running into my passenger side door. The vision shook me, and I immediately said to the universe, “That needs to change.” I didn’t know why this accident was magnetizing to me, but I knew I didn’t want to endure its repercussions, and so I altered the course of events instead. I simply stated that I wished to break my agreements with these circumstances, and that whatever lesson I thought I needed from the accident would have to come to me through gentler means in the future.

The next day, as I was driving, a large red SUV was stopped at a side street trying to pull out across traffic. When I saw that the driver of the red vehicle was inching outward, I knew she didn’t see me coming. I slowed up my pace and sent a huge energetic rose toward her asking her spirit to wake up and notice me.
