Marching down to Cobra and Vipers cabin, I was about to pound on the door when it swung inward. âCome on in, Maisie,â Cobra spoke, my hand hovering in midair. Walking in, I noticed it was cozy and clean, but more houses rested on the table including two that looked like miniature castles.
Distracted for a second, I asked, âWhat is all this for?â
âI suspect we will be seeing more refugees in the coming weeks, so I am preparing,â Cobra said, while looking at me. âI donât think that is why you are here, though.â
âNo. Youâre right. Iâm here because you gave Zugo a hand job.â I crossed my arms over my chest and tapped my foot.
âYes, I did. I though you would appreciate my gift to you,â She said, and it took everything in me not to slap her.
âWhat gift? All I know is that you touched who is essentially my husband. In a sexual way, no less.â Why did I sound so possessive? I tried to calm myself a bit by counting to ten in my head.
âYes, a man who has been locked up for most of his life. Do you really think that is conducive to a good sex life? By now, you have figured out that Viper and I have some magical abilities, I used said abilities to make it so he wouldnât be a two pump chump on what will essentially be your wedding night,â She spoke calmly, explaining why she had done it and then walked towards her kettle. âWould you like some tea? I have a suspicion you will need it for tonight.â
âWhy will I need it for tonight?â She pulled two cups down from the shelf and began making me two cups of tea.
âWhy would I ruin the surprise? Letâs just say Kai and Emot have plans and they are wild.â She handed me a cup and I took a sip, instantly knowing it was Leatherleaf. âIn fact, you might want to drink a few cups.â I sat at the table while she made her own tea.
âSo, if you did that for me, you didnât really care about Zugo?â I tentatively asked, prompting Cobra to laugh.
âIâm a whoreprostitute, Iâve only met one man who I like and thatâs Salzo, but he likes Viper.â She sighed wistfully. âI like Zugo, he is a nice boy, but I donât want him in that way, if that is what you are asking. It took him like three strokes, and he came. Iâm good but not that good.â She laughed at herself and sat next to me. âI did truly have you in mind when I added that magic. Youâve had such a disappointing sex life up until now, I thought you deserved an all-around amazing one now.â
Sipping my tea, she stuck her finger under the bottom and tipped the cup more making me chug it. Her eyes clouded over for a moment, then cleared. âForget the tea, youâre going to need something stronger.â She rose and grabbed a clear glass and pulled several jars off the shelf.
