More equal societies, which generally also have a strong role of government in providing ECD and access to quality education at all levels, end up with greater intergenerational mobility. The social democracies of Scandinavia are thereby the outstanding achievers in social inclusion, promoting widespread prosperity and the highest observed extent of social mobility across generations.
