Here, the recovery project is underway at the Eel River Sawmill. One can see that the log deck is being restacked, and units of lumber that were recovered are being put in some sort of order. It is hard to believe that this mill was actually put back in working order in no time at all.

Here is the sawmill after a full recovery from the flood. A lot of hard work by a ton of people was put into the sawmill. This mill provided hundreds of well-paying jobs in Humboldt County.

After the floodwaters receded, these banded units of Douglas fir were found sitting in place at the mill yard. Also, the main office was left intact.
