Chapter 9
Jump hung up the phone, his eyes already burning. He hated crying so much, but hell, this week had been difficult. "That was Lane. He said Gresh squeezed his hand."
Bruce sat up and scrubbed at the fuzz on his chest, his eyes blinking owlishly. Jump wanted to snuggle in and feel the soft hair on his face and the rest of him, but he needed to get to the hospital. He was more than just a little in love with Bruce. His whole life was Bruce. How the hell had he gotten so lucky?
"God, I love you," Jump whispered.
Bruce moaned and pulled Jump to him, burying his face in Jump's hair. "You are my world."
They fell back onto the bed, Bruce's boner poking him in the hip. Jump put his hand on Bruce's chest, stopping the kiss.
"Bad breath?" Bruce mumbled.
"No, well, yeah but that's not the issue. Gresh squeezed Lane's hand."
Bruce shook his head and hopped up, pulling Jump with him. "Let's roll."
That's what he loved most about Bruce. He knew what Jump needed. Jump would have had sex with Bruce even though his mind was on Gresh, but Bruce knew he needed to go to Houston and be by Lane and Gresh's side.
"Shower quick, I'll be in there in a few. I'm going to pack us a bag," Jump said.
"I'll help. I know how important this is to you. We'll hurry and be there in a couple of hours."
They tossed their clothes in a suitcase but Jump didn't know if he had everything they needed. Their clothes hadn't been washed and what if they were there for longer than a few days?
"Hey, stop worrying. If we need more clothes we can buy some."
"But the cost. We can't just spend money like that."
"Babe, right now money isn't the issue. I know you don't want to be a spoiled rich brat, but buying a few necessities from Wal-Mart isn't going to change you. This is an emergency situation."
"I guess. I still feel, I don't know, bad I guess. You know, I don't want to be like that. Clothes aren't disposable."
"Jump, you so aren't that way. I'll make sure you stay grounded. You'll never be like Hamilton."
Jump melted against Bruce. His man knew what he was thinking so often it was scary. They'd talked a little bit about how he didn't want the money to change him. He feared becoming privileged. Growing up, he'd had so little and now the money seemed like it would never end, but he knew better. Money could disappear in a flash, and he didn't want to ever take for granted what he had.
Bruce pulled him into the shower and washed him quickly. They were both hot and hard. He leaned against Bruce, his hands on Bruce's hips. "Take me."
"But we need to hurry," Bruce countered.
"Babe, I need you. A few minutes won't hurt."
Bruce grabbed the lube they'd placed in the shower the night before and slicked up. He turned Jump so he was facing the tiled wall and teased his opening with his fingers.
