SHE WAS SO EXCITED to have found such an extraordinary creature. Oh, she could see Jagger looking at her as if she’d done lost her damn mind, but he wasn’t aware of the true identity of Bast. Or rather where she came from. Oh, yeah, Bastet the Cat Goddess for whatever reason had sent her Bast. That was her story, and she was sticking to it.

Jagger was huge compared to her, yet he settled into a pose similar to her, eyeing Bast with a little weariness. She’d win him over; Willow had no doubt.

“What do I need to do?” he asked. His knees bumped hers.

Bast gave a little hiss. Jagger gave a warning growl.

“Stop you two or I’ll put you both in time out,” she warned.

Her mate smiled, his growl turning into a rumble that made all her female parts tingle. Bast stretched, moving to her shoulders as if she’d offended her. Willow couldn’t help but laugh at the feline’s antics.

“You smell delicious, mate. When we get home, I will make a meal out of you.” Jagger promised.

She shivered, watching his tongue peak out of his lush mouth and lick first is lower lip, then the upper. The wicked gleam in his bright blue eyes, combined with his actions, turned her on more than she’d thought possible without being touched.

Bast decided to flick her hair into her eyes, effectively breaking the moment. She reached up and gave her a little scratch under the chin. “Okay, need to concentrate. I’ll be going deep within myself and then outside to tap into the powers of, well usually it was only the Goddess. Here, I don’t know which ones I may tap into. Try not to interfere with the process. Bast is going to guide me.”

Jagger’s eyes narrowed on her then went to the feline. She held up her right hand, stopping him before he could say anything. “Please.” She said the one word, opening her mind to show him the process she’d done so many times before.

His jaw worked back and forth, then he jerked his head up and down. Before she could begin, he lifted up, eliminating the space between them with a muttered curse. “I trust you to guide us home, Solnishka. I only ask that you take care of you first.”

She pressed her forehead against his, loving him more than she thought possible. He gave her a slow, hard kiss than sat back where he’d been. Her lips tingled. Determination filled every cell and pore of her body. She would get them home, then they’d get Darkness out of her mate.

Willow placed her right hand in her lap, palm up with her left hand laying gently on top of it, also palm up. She gently touched her thumbs together, creating an oval below her navel. By doing such, it was her safety net of a sort because once the oval she’d created began to collapse due to her lack of focus, she’d be able to pull herself out of the space.
