Tapping in success can also be applied to sports. You can bring up memories of doing well at your sport, times of being in “the zone.” If you are playing tennis, you might bring up a time when you were playing very well. You would bring to mind what you were seeing, hearing, and smelling, and the sensations in your body as you hit the ball. You can even stand and place your body in a position that will enable your body to better recall the experience. You want to activate as fully as possible the positive athletic experience. When you have done this, tap 6 to 12 times, then stop and check in with how you are feeling. If it continues to be positive, you can tap longer. After you have done this, imagine yourself in the future, taking this body-based confidence with you. Tap as you imagine this.
