There are many shops, cafes and market vendors in this area, which is part of Old Town. The shops offer antiques, souvenirs, handicrafts, wool, candy, bath items and dolls among many other specialties. But one of the highlights is the Town Hall Pharmacy which is the oldest in Tallinn. Even the Russian Tsar used to order items from the pharmacy, whose web site and phone number are listed above.

They carry many herbs and natural remedies as well as more traditional pharmacy items and are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Ironically, this is also the first place where the candy delicacy of marzipan was made and even today they periodically hold marzipan-making classes and demonstrations.
