Chapter Fourteen

The next night, I did not have any scenes. I was watching Eden and Julian perform and it really made me appreciate how good she really was. From body language, to eye expression and how her voice could portray emotion was just incredible. And though I was proud watching her, I started to feel something else. I was in love with her, and I wasn't sure how to feel about it. It scared me on one hand, for I didn't want to end up with a broken heart. But on the other, it excited me that what had been planted was beginning to bloom.

“Eden, try it again. Do like Meadow does, lower the head slightly and bring it up,” Joe called out. He moved back to his spot, and then called for them to go.

“I will continue to hunt you down, and if I have to, I will kill you,” Julian said.

“There are other ways. Join me and know what life really is,” Eden said.

Joe stepped forward. “That’s it. Let’s take a break for a few,” he said.

I went over to Eden, a smile on my face.

“Hey, you did great. I loved that scene,” I said.

“Coming from the star, I am honored,” she said.

I laughed, but she didn't laugh back.

“Do you want to grab a drink or something? It looks like it might be a while,” I said, motioning over to Joe. He sat on his chair, arguing with a few people, as he went over the shooting schedule for the night.

“Sure,” she said.

We made our way over to the food truck that was on set, the guy working it seeming half asleep.

“I just want a water,” I told him, and he handed me a bottled water.

“I’ll do the same,” Eden said.

Taking our waters, we strolled around near the set. Ann saw us and came rushing over.

“Good news, we have been releasing some photos from the set online, and you have quite a few people talking about you,” Ann said, smiling at me.

“Really? That’s cool, I have fans,” I said, then giggled.

“Hey, I need to talk to Kelly about the next scene. I’ll see you in a few,” Eden said, then hurried off.

“People are already asking about shirts and posters. I think once this thing gets released, you’re going to have quite the following,” Ann said, then gave me a hug.

“I am just blown away. I would’ve never thought,” I said.

Joe's voice came carrying over to us. “Hey, Ann, I need you over here!”

“I’d better go. We have about a month left before we break up, and I don't want him to have an excuse to end it early,” she said, rolling her eyes. She walked away and then I set off looking for Eden.

She was sitting on a chair by herself, her legs crossed, sipping on her water. I thought it odd she was alone, after needing to talk to Kelly.

“Hey, people are wanting t-shirts with me on it. Crazy isn't it!” I said.

“Oh, that’s cool,” she said, then took another drink.
