I’M FEELING RECHARGED after our talk on the roof last night. I may be pretending that I didn’t almost kiss him, or I didn’t wave bye before I went into my room, because we have a busy day. It’s another day of working at the in-house studio. Not to mention, there will be a few big wigs coming in to chill during and after.

I got to see them perform the lyrics I wrote while we were in San Francisco. My very own words are being sung out into the world by the most popular rock band on the planet. So cool.

As I pull my hair in a high ponytail and finish off my natural-looking makeup with a light rose gloss, I pad down to the living room to find the guys already moving with instruments into the music room.

“Need any help?” I offer as they follow one another into the studio.

“Can you grab us a few bottles of water?” Declan winks at me. Dear Lord, his bright green Irish eyes against the light from the windows makes his orbs look like rare emeralds.

I let out an amused huff. “How do you not have a girlfriend?”

He stops in his tracks, but so does Jace who looks from me to Declan and back at me.

Declan’s lips tilt to one side, giving him a few crinkles around his eyes. “Why, Little Bee? See somethin’ ya like?”

Jace’s face changes. It’s unlike Declan to be this forward, but messing with Jace has become a little more fun over the past few days.

“I was just curious.” I turn to the kitchen to get the water. All I hear is Jace mumble something to Declan and Declan laugh. Like, really laugh.
