Second, and even more perplexing, was this: Why did the animals in the water hole seem to be sorted by size, with the biggest on top? “You never find a rhino skeleton under a horse,” Voorhies said. “You always find the horses and camels underneath the rhinos.” Voorhies might never have come up with the answer except for the observation of a veterinarian who dropped in at his paleontology lab.
