You can easily enhance the flavor of something as simple as cream cheese with a bundle of fresh herbs. A combination of green scallions, fresh dill, and fresh parsley come together to make this whipped cream cheese more complex, sophisticated, and super spreadable on anything from bagels and crostini to sliced vegetables.
INGREDIENTS
8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
2 tablespoons green onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh dill, removed from stem and minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, removed from stem and minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
bagels, toasted bread, pita chips, or sliced vegetables, for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add cream cheese to the bowl of a stand mixer or a mixing bowl.
2. Using a stand mixer or hand mixer with a whisk attachment, mix cream cheese for about 2 minutes until lightly whipped.
3. Add all other ingredients to the whipped cream cheese and whisk with mixer until well combined.
4. Serve spread chilled on the Bagel Board or on its own with bagels, toasted bread, pita chips, or sliced vegetables.
