Arif Naqvi (left) is the Pakistani-born founder of the Abraaj Group, one of the largest global growth market private equity firms in the world, with over $8 billion under management. He held the Celebration of Entrepreneurship 2010 in Dubai with Aramex CEO Fadi Ghandour (right), where over 2,400 young entrepreneurs and investors from around the region gathered to network and connect. A few months later many of these young entrepreneurs were in Tahrir Square or in other protests that became the Arab uprisings.

The Dubai hub, one of many around the world, for the logistics juggernaut in the Middle East and Africa, Aramex. This is one of countless aisles managing regional e-commerce inventory. Their “Shop and Ship” program takes on the logistics challenge for any company trying to ship from the United States, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Their new eHouse initiative will be the inventory management and back-end for e-commerce startups in the region.
