Tatty had a cozy residence in Yonkers, New York. It was a few miles away from Harlem, bordering the Bronx, two miles north of Manhattan. Apple and Row found themselves moving through the suburbs, not too far from I-87/Major Deegan Expressway. Row was behind the wheel of Apple’s Chevy as it passed through on the residential blocks slowly. Apple eyed every address she went by. Each home looked like it belonged in some well-to-do family sitcom, like The Brady Bunch. The owners were so privileged and blessed. So sickening, Apple thought.
It was twilight in the skies, the block quiet like a cemetery. The Charger came to a stop in front of a two-story home nestled amongst the others in the picturesque community with the manicured front yards and paved driveways. Apple sat in the passenger seat and lit a cigarette. She gazed at the house for a moment. It was dark, but there was no G-class parked in the driveway. Whether someone was home or not, she was going inside, and she was ready to do like one of Biggie’s rhymes—duct tape his wife and kids, pistol-whip his bitch.
“This is it, right?” she asked Row.
“Yeah. My peoples that got back to me are always accurate,” he replied.
With her eyes fixed on the house, she studied everything, aware of her surroundings like a hawk, ready to charge in and exterminate everyone.
“How you wanna do this?” asked Row.
Apple emitted a pressing sigh. She decided to wait around for a moment—woman’s instincts. She didn’t want to miss her shot like they did theirs.
An hour passed with them watching the house in the shadows from a small distance. It was almost midnight when activity started. With Apple becoming impatient, in the nick of time, the G-class pulled into the driveway. Seeing two silhouettes in the front seats, Apple perched at the edge of her seat and watched their every movement. Tatty jumped out from the passenger side, but the driver stayed inside. Standing in the doorway was a beautiful woman with long, raven-black hair and a huge smile to see her man arriving. She was in a house robe and fuzzy slippers.
It was no time for games or hesitation. Apple was ready to show Tatty what being a real gangster was about—how to strike, shoot, and not miss. She quickly got out of the car with two pistols in her hands. She moved in the shadows like a ninja, keeping out her target’s line of sight. Row wasn’t too far behind her. She trotted their way, and when Tatty reached out to hug his lady hello, Apple lunged at them from the darkness and opened fire with the two .9mms in her hands.
Bak! Bak! Bak! Bak! Bak!
The first shot tore the back of Tatty’s head open, and it viciously dropped him in front of the black-haired woman. She screamed, but it was short-lived; two shots to her head shut the bitch up and left her lying there dead next to her man. Before the driver could retaliate, Row was on him.
