To change out the diaphragms, you’ll need to turn the pump off (on the controller) to disengage the solar PV electricity to the pump. Then you’ll need to pull the pump, which is to haul it up with the drop-line you’ve kept attached. You may need to replace the brushes, diaphragm, and valves every two years or longer, but you’ll get great performance from this pump. (Note: check the connector between the cable and the pump as these sometimes corrode in harsh environments).

The SHURFlo 9300 is a submersible pump, and with the right Solar PV array can lift 1.3 GPM at 230 foot depth, and nearly 2 GPM from very shallow wells.
