1 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 cups of water
1 tbsp. ground turmeric
½ tsp. black cumin seeds
½ tsp. cumin seeds
½ tsp. mustard seeds
¼ tsp. fenugreek seeds
¼ tsp. lightly crushed fennel seeds
Procedure:
1. Boil the water with cumin, turmeric, salt, and tomatoes in a 4-quart saucepan. Lower the heat to medium and allow it to simmer.
2. Heat oil in a skillet on medium-high and cook the fish for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until it becomes golden brown. Then, put the fish into the saucepan.
3. Heat a different skillet on medium and toast all the seeds for a few seconds or until they become fragrant. Add them into the saucepan and simmer for around 10 minutes or more or until the flavors blend. Serve warm.
