LET’S PRAY

Lord,

It is easy to see that my daughter needs me, but it is sometimes difficult to see why. Because I’m always doing things for her and figuring things out for her, I can become so focused on my responsibilities that I forget that my daughter wants a relationship with me. Help me to remember that my presence matters more than what I do, what I accomplish, and how I help.

May I choose to connect to her world whether I feel it or not. Thank You for the moments when I do feel like it. Help my emotions to catch up with my feet when I don’t. May I push aside my selfish tendencies and weaknesses to find joy in her presence, just as You pushed aside the outward signs of Your deity to rescue me in the middle of my humanity.

She is Yours, and I trust You with her.
