Keys of Worship

TO MY SURPRISE, AS I LOOKED AROUND THE ROOM THAT NIGHT, I SAW actual musical notes falling from the sky. Worship was phenomenal that night at our church service. Both my husband and I felt like we stepped into a new level when one particular singer began to release a new song. The Spirit of the Lord was so present in that meeting.

When I opened my eyes during worship and glanced around the room, I was so surprised to see musical notes falling. The sound of Heaven was responding to our praise. Oh what it will be like to someday to be right there with the angels and elders worshiping the King, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty!” (Rev. 4:8). Our worship unlocks the supernatural. Our offering, or worship to the Lord, is a key in shifting the atmosphere.

When I was in a hotel in Colorado, I was attacked by a spirit. I know to always pray over the hotel rooms I stay in, from anything evil that could have been left behind there. This spirit was there to harass me with fear. I declared Scripture and began to sing worship songs. As I released the sound of worship, that demon began to shrink and shrink, until it finally vanished. The presence of God then filled that room. When Light comes, darkness must flee.

This morning I was praying for a man over the phone who was from South Africa. As I was praying, the Lord gave me a picture of Joshua and his army marching around the walls of Jericho (Josh. 6). I could see them marching, blowing their trumpets like an alarm, and then the walls came shattering down with a loud, crashing sound. The sound was so loud that it actually startled me. I then heard the phrase, “Sound the alarm; release the offering of worship.” So, I started singing in tongues over and over the South African man. As I sang, the healing presence of the Lord came over his back. His back became warm and he could feel the heat of the presence of the Lord on him. After a year of tortuous back pain and kidney problems, this morning he was released from pain and healed. Praise God!

We often can overlook the power of worship. As Jesus is facing temptation from the devil, He uses the Scripture, “It is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only’” (Luke 4:8). Worship is our most powerful weapon. Our worship not only releases a sweet offering and fragrance to the King, but it causes the enemy to resist.

Will you worship Him today? Release the sound of your worship, and think of it as if blowing those trumpets that caused the walls of Jericho to come down. He is worthy!
