Chapter 9
Sebastian watched the last car pull out of the driveway. Fryda had left a little while ago with Jacob. The two of them were still arguing as they faded from the room. Sebastian had a feeling that the two of them had been at it for a great many years, even before Fryda had been hurt. He started up the steps to his home when he saw Ama standing on the deck. He went to her.
“You know that he’s not going to play by any rules, don’t you?” He nodded as he pulled her back against his chest. “Jacob seems to think he’s going to try something stupid, like simply taking me without permission.”
“He more than likely will try. But he’s got a surprise coming for him if he does that. I’m not going to let him hurt you.” She nodded. He looked out to the trees in their backyard and nuzzled her neck. He wanted her out there and wondered how he could take her when she wasn’t a panther.
“I can shift.” He stilled. “I couldn’t before we bonded, but I know I can now. Would you like to go for a run?”
He had to clear his throat twice before he could speak. “How do you know you can shift? Did you try it already?”
She put out her arm and he watched it begin to morph and fur, fine at first then fuller, began to grow along her skin. She stretched out her hand and he could see it changing into a paw, large dark nails beginning to protrude from the fur.
“I thought about it earlier when I was in the bathroom and it happened. I can do other things, too.” Her hands shifted again and he saw her skin change from fur to feathers. Initially dark as the fur, they changed to lighter colors until they resembled those of a barn owl.
“Baby, shift into a panther for me. I want to watch you.” She pulled away from him, and he watched her unbutton her blouse and drop it to the deck. Then her bra. His breath caught when the moon came from behind a cloud and seemed to shine on the silkiness of her breasts. When she bent to take off her pants, he had to grab the railing. Her ass looked good enough for him to eat. She turned and looked at him from her bent position.
“You’re staring at my bottom.” He nodded. “Well stop it. It’s very strange to know you’re looking at me like…you look hungry.”
“I am, and if you don’t hurry, that run we were going to take is going to be delayed.” She wiggled her ass at him and, while still bent over, tore her panties from her body. “Christ, you’re lovely.”
Going up behind her, he unsnapped his pants. He had to be inside of her now rather than later. When she moaned, he fisted his cock and told her to hold onto the railing. She moved to it and braced her hands on it.
