Falcon

Falcon had enjoyed her stories. He could tell that her childhood had been difficult. But when she spoke of the shaman and the magical creatures, the pain had not been there in her voice. He did not want to make her relive any unpleasant memories. But she seemed happy enough when she spoke about the dinosaur-bird and the people who could turn into animals at will.

“There’s one part of the forest I haven’t covered yet. Would you like to accompany me?” he asked.

“What? Why are you being so formal?” she asked.

He leaned down to whisper in her ear. “We’re far enough away from our shelter that your friends won’t be able to hear us.”

“Is this a ploy to get me out in the woods and have your way with me?”

He laughed. “Is it working?”

“Absolutely.”

“Good. I want you. I want to be inside you, and I don’t want you to have to stifle your moans.”

“Sounds good to me.”

They walked a ways into the forest hand in hand until Falcon stopped under a sloping tree.
